Research and Planning- Camera Techniques Analysing A Clip

This trailer starts with a jump cut when the scene introduces Frankie four fingers then jumps to him gambling this is done to show his character in a quick scene.

Then a cut away from phone call about a diamond to the actual diamond to show what the people in the clip are talking about and show it is how there all connected.

Match cut from the American to his henchmen back to the American then cut to another man then back again this is a very busy scene but does show how far news traveled of this diamond.

After this the trailer jump cuts to Brad Pitt boxing then Jason Statham talking and then a match cut to Gorgeous George being knocked out then back to Brad Pitt I believe this is to show the connection between the characters and a hint to what will happen.

Cut away to brick top talking to brad pit then Statham's character and back to Brad Pitt I believe this is to show how they will all become connected through the boxing just before hand.

Then there are a few more jump cuts to show how all the other characters are related and at the end  of the trailer there are simple straight cuts through all of the characters this is to show you who stars in the film, tells you the director and when it is out, this is a good trailer for all those reasons.
