Research and Planning: Our first lesson

In our first lesson we watched many movie clips for example 300 and one say all the clips where from extremely different genres of films some comedy some crime and action romance ect once we had watched these clips we were given the challenge to look for

• what genre the clip is
• how can we tell
• what are the key points of the trailer
• what information is the trailer giving us
• the release date
• the key actors/actresses
• key conventions for certain genre

Once we highlighted as much information as we could we relayed it in a group discussion and I believe this was a good lesson as it has given me basic criteria for my  trailer and told me what are vital information's and common conceptions to comply to with my particular genre.
