Research and Planning - Genre I could use

Crime/Mystery

This genre of film is largely attributed to the characters main motifs, common ones are; love, danger, death and material possession for example in snatch its a large diamond.
There are two different ways to make a crime film though, there's the take from the detectives point of view where usually someone commits suicide or is murdered and that is where the mystery lies a good example of this is seven and the Detectives have to figure out who caused the crime and there's the take from a crime point of view or the criminals point of view where you get a look into something not many people get to see in there lives, usually they have things like boxing, guns, knifes and jewelry then the characters outfits are usually things like large coats flat caps and suits a good example of this type is the film The Krays, I personally believe Crime and Mystery is a good genre to do because it is very easy to find old buildings and shoot most of the scenes as alot of it is just general conversation and not as much action.

 Thriller/Horror

Horror films are good genres because usually there easy to make but work on our primal instinctive fears or what we least expect, but like crime there are two man branches of horror films there's the paranormal take on it where its ghosts and mysterious happenings which cause an atmosphere of fear putting people on edge probably the most famous example of this is the exorcist or if more of a thriller sixth sense, then there's the other take on these films where it is often a killer a lot of blood and aggressive behavior and people trying to get away, these usually take places in houses or if someone is lost and works as these are places people usually feel safe in, examples of this film could be the Texas chainsaw massacre or the saw series. These films are very easy to make because all it takes are props such as houses broken down houses knives ect and the common characters are small children as an evil character or a asked man.

Action

Some action films would be good to make as a few very famous ones for example rocky are very much true to life stories and don't require conglomerate budgets compared to other ones like transporter, I believe if you did a true to life original story much like Rocky or First Blood it wouldn't take a big budget and the convention is something wanted or stolen and earning it or getting it back and to make a film like Rambo which is a rather iconic action film there is a chance all you would need where a few props like police uniforms or badges, knifes, guns and a set to film it like a woods.

Romantic

My final possible genre is Romance, a lot of the time romantic films follow a very similar convention of boy meets girl they have there opposites but they find a way to make it through and more often than not there's a happy ever after a good example being the holiday. Where a lot of other films may be easier to get main characters I believe it would be hardest for a romantic film but other than that hurdle I believe it would be very easy to make for the simple reasons of it being very cheap as it can be shot anywhere and there are already very simple and conventional story lines.
